Anatoli Gorchetchnikov

My research primarily concentrates on four related aspects:

  • Biologically realistic models of spatial navigation, formation of spatial representations, path-planning, path-integration and self-localization.
  • Application of these models to artificial agents capable of real-time navigation in virtual or real environments.
  • Developing of software simulation tools for large scale neural models utilizing Graphic Processing Units and other parallel techniques.
  • Developing cross-platform and cross-simulator standard languages for easy exchange of models between different research groups.
